How will I get my new debit card?
Your card can be collected at the branch. We will advise you of the collection period.
If you reside abroad, your branch will mail the card to you via registered mail.

No. Your bank account number will not change.

No. Your PIN number will not change.

Will the debit card/s function differently?
Your new debit card/s will work in the same way that they do now. You can continue to access your account in branch or at any ATM or point of sale terminal where the VISA logo is displayed.
For those with international cards they will continue to be accepted overseas (ATM&POS) and for online transactions.

Can I use my Republic Bank debit card at other ATMs?
Yes. Your Republic Bank Visa Debit card, with chip technology, will continue to be accepted at other Bank ATMs where the VISA logo is displayed. Other bank charges will still apply as determined by their fee structure and cost.

Will my debit card continue to work locally, regionally and internationally?
Yes. Your debit card will continue to work locally, regionally and internationally at ATMs or point of sale terminals where the VISA logo is displayed. Other bank charges, as defined by the respective banks, will remain in effect.

Will my debit card limits (ATM Withdrawal Limit, Point of Sale Limit, Online Transaction Limit etc.) be impacted?
No, there will be no change to your debit card limits.

Will the expiration period of my debit card change?
No. Your card will continue to expire every 5 years from the date of generation.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the change/renewal?
When you receive your new card details, we encourage you to update any online subscriptions, bill payment services, and/or any other service or provider that automatically deducts money from your debit card for services rendered (like Uber, Netflix etc.) to avoid a disruption in service.

Do I need to surrender my current card in order to collect my new Republic Bank debit card?
Yes. You will only need to walk with valid identification and your existing card to collect your new card.

Can someone collect my new card on my behalf if I am unable to do so in person?
Please contact your branch and they will guide you through the process to allow for this to be done.

I have a joint account with a relative/friend/other person. Do we each receive our own new cards?
Once you had separate debit cards before, you will each be issued a replacement Debit Card.

Is the new card now linked to the accounts already set up for the ABM withdrawals and POS.
The cards will be linked upon activation of the card.
